Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said on Thursday issued two Royal Decrees as follows:
Royal Decree No. 4/2016 amends Royal Decree No. 47/2015 on the appointment of members of the State Council.
Article (1) states that the two members mentioned in Clauses 25 and 52 of the State Council members list attached to the Royal Decree No. 47/2015 shall be replaced by the two following members:
Dr Raya bint Salim bin Said Al Mantheriyah (Clause 25);
Eng. Nashi’ah bint Saud bin Mohammed Al Kharousiyah (Clause 52).
Article (2) says that this decree (4/2016) shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced with effect from the date of implementation of Royal Decree No. 47/2015.
Royal Decree No. 5/2016 declares the Ras Markaz area’s development project as a public utility project and attaches it to the Special Economic Zone at Duqm.
Article (1) declares as a public utility project “the Ras Markaz area in the Wilayat of Duqm in the Wusta Governorate”, as specified in the memo and diagram attached to this decree.
Article (2) attaches to the above-mentioned Ras Markaz area to the Special Economic Zone at Duqm and states that this economic zone’s site and boundaries shall be modified in accordance with the diagram attached to this Decree.
Article (3) states that the authorities concerned shall expropriate, through direct implementation, the properties, relevant land needed for the aforesaid project, as well as installations therein, in accordance with the provisions of the Public Utility Expropriation Law.
Article (4) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced on its date of issue.
