Completion rate of Samail Hospital Project in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate reaches 89%

Samail: The completion rate of the new Samail Hospital project in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate has surpassed 89 percent, marking a qualitative leap in the governorate's healthcare system, as the facility will provide integrated and specialized health services with significantly greater capacity compared to the existing hospital.

The project is being developed on a land area of approximately 250,000 square meters, with a total built-up area of around 66,000 square metres, at an overall cost of nearly OMR45 million.

The hospital will initially operate with a bed capacity of 170 inpatient beds, totaling 252 beds, with the potential for future expansion to reach 300 beds.

The main building comprises a basement and four floors, and houses five operating theaters, an emergency and accident department, outpatient clinics, radiology and imaging services, central laboratories, dialysis units, physiotherapy facilities, a burn unit, specialised centers, an operating and endoscopy wing, as well as intensive care units for adults, pediatrics, neonates, and cardiac patients.

The project is expected to be substantially completed by the end of this year (2026), in line with the existing schedule. The commencement of patient services, however, will be contingent upon the finalization of construction works, the installation of medical and technical equipment, the successful completion of testing and commissioning, and the fulfillment of all operational readiness requirements.
