16 Omani companies to showcase products at World Food Moscow 2026

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman will participate in WorldFood Moscow 2026, taking place from September 15 to 18 in the Russian capital, with 16 Omani companies showcasing their products as part of efforts to expand the presence of national products in international markets and open new opportunities for Omani exports in Russia and Central Asian markets.

The participation is being organised by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, through “Made in Oman Exports” (Exports Oman), to enhance the competitiveness of non-oil Omani exports and support national companies in accessing new markets.

The initiative also aims to connect Omani businesses with international importers, distributors and buyers, while identifying commercial opportunities and partnerships that can increase the global reach and competitiveness of Omani products.

Through their participation, the Omani companies will highlight the diversity and quality of national products and explore new distribution channels, while establishing business relationships with importers, retail chains, restaurants and hotels.

The participation will also promote Oman as a reliable source of food and halal products, strengthening opportunities for the growth of national exports in the Russian market and related markets.

Zakiyah bint Abdullah Al Amriya, Trade Information Specialist at Exports Oman, said the participation represents an important milestone in strengthening the presence of Omani products in a promising market and providing national companies with opportunities to engage directly with international importers, distributors and buyers.

She added that Exports Oman supports Omani companies in accessing targeted markets through participation in specialised international exhibitions and by connecting exporters with available commercial opportunities. She expressed hope that the participation would translate business meetings into actual export opportunities and sustainable partnerships that contribute to the growth of non-oil Omani exports.

Al Amriya noted that the Russian market was selected due to the opportunities it offers Omani products, particularly in the food sector. She said the participation builds on positive results achieved at the previous edition of the exhibition, which contributed to commercial deals and strategic partnerships with suppliers and agents in the Russian market.

The participation forms part of Exports Oman’s plans to attend international events and exhibitions in targeted markets during 2026 and 2027, supporting the ministry’s efforts to develop non-oil exports, open new markets for national products and enable Omani companies to establish sustainable international business partnerships.

WorldFood Moscow 2026 is one of the leading international platforms specialising in the food and beverage sector in Russia. It brings together manufacturers, exporters, importers, retail chains and hospitality businesses, providing direct opportunities for companies to connect with buyers and industry decision-makers.

This year’s edition is expected to feature more than 1,100 exhibiting companies from around 30 countries and attract over 26,000 trade visitors.
