Nine agricultural usufruct contracts worth OMR3.5mn signed in Musandam

Khasab: Musandam Governorate on Tuesday celebrated the signing of nine agricultural usufruct contracts for investment and development projects distributed across several wilayats of the governorate, with a total value estimated at approximately OMR3.5 million and a total area of around 34,511 square metres. The signing ceremony was held under the patronage of Sayyid Faisal Hamoud Al Busaidi, Governor of Musandam.

The signed investment projects span the agricultural production, fisheries, and related food industries sectors. In the Wilayat of Bukha, they included a cattle farm project, a seasonal fodder cultivation project, and a dairy factory project for Al Sawalih Company. In the Wilayat of Dibba, they included a fish salting, drying, and refrigeration factory project.

In the Wilayat of Khasab, the projects comprised two honeybee breeding projects and a fish canning, drying, and refrigeration factory project in the "Mahas" Industrial City. In the Wilayat of Madha, they included a honeybee breeding project and an agricultural nursery project.

These projects will contribute to diversifying local production, strengthening food supply chains, enhancing the added value of agricultural and fishery products, and opening broader horizons for investment in the agricultural and fisheries sectors — thereby promoting the optimal utilisation of government lands and supporting comprehensive economic and social development in Musandam Governorate.
