“We have sought details from our headquarters in Addis Ababa,” Sami Muctar, area manager-Oman, Ethiopian Airlines, said.
The Omani student was travelling with his father on the flight when he reportedly locked himself in the aircraft toilet for a long time, which forced airport security to storm into the plane.
Later, the boy complained of diarrhoea and a loose stomach, which he said had forced him to stay inside the aircraft toilet for a long time.
The boy is now under police custody and awaiting court charges, after being accused of damaging the aircraft toilet’s door.
