Muscat: Emmet Jennings emerged the overall winner after the sixth and final race of the Muscat Road Runners (MRR) Zawawi Colas Summer Series.
The final race of the series took place in Wadi Adai/Wattayah with 48 athletes turning up to race 5.5km across the dusty tracks of the Wadi.
The overall winner Jennings clocked a time time of 18:01 and the second position was claimed by Nick Conlan (19:34) followed by Edward Black (20:31) in the third place.
Irene Ng’eno was the top female runner covering the distance in a time of 26:48.
The winner of the 3km junior race was Kiki in a time of 15:32. Lucy was second in 18:09 and Funilay was third in 22:21.
The Muscat Road Runners thanked the race directors, volunteers and sponsors Zawawi Colas.
The next race will be the first race of the Winter Series which will be held on October 22.
