Ali Al Balushi wins second round of Oman Drift Championship

Muscat: Ali Al Balushi overcame stiff competition to clinch the top honours in the second round of the Oman Red Bull Car Park Drift Championship organised at the drift track of Oman Automobile Association (OAA).
Ali won the title after garnering 100 points, finishing ahead of Tariq Al Shihani, who collected 95 points.
Haitham Al Hadidi with 94 points, Rifa’at Al Yahyaei with 93 points and Mohammed Al A’asmi with 92 points followed them in that order.
Sixteen drivers have qualified to the competition scheduled for October 28. The top two from that will qualify to the final round of the Red Bull Car Park Drift Championship, to be organised in Oman in Deceber with the participation of 11 countries.
The local qualifying round will see the participation of 17 drivers: Ali Al Balushi, Tariq Al Shihani, Sami Al Shibani, Rifa’at Al Yahyaei, Haitham Al Hadidi, Mohammed Al A’asmi, Abdullah Al Balushi, Abdullah Al Ameri, Khalfan Al Jabri, Mohammed Al Sawafi, Fahmi Al Busaidi, Ibrahim Al Azri, Zakariya Al Amri, Mohammed Al Abri, Said Al Harthi, Salim Al Aghbari and Farooq Al Toobi.
