Muscat: A vibrant and colourful art exhibition and competition entitled, “Artist in Me,” was held at the Pakistan School Muscat to help students exhibit their creative and artistic flair.
The Principal, (Junior school), Pakistan School Muscat, Munazza Ghafoor formally welcomed the Chief Guest, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Adnan Shehzad, members of the board, Senior principal Attullah Niazi, Principal Khalid Jadoon, parents and other dignitaries.
Talent
The shields were distributed among the winners of the first round by the chief guest, which was held on October 25 in which the students from each grade and section took part to exhibit their talent on the canvas.
They then qualified for the second round of the competition. The second round was held live and the winners were selected by the chief guest Ibrahim Gillani who was also the chief judge, along with Austin Chaba, who was the second Judge.
The winners were handed trophies and the winners from the Centre of Special Education were also presented with gift hampers, along with the trophies from the chief guests.
The first three position holders from the senior section got a special voucher of worth OMR75 to attend a one day-workshop at Gailani Art Retreats, along with the art teacher, Sadaf Naqvi and a book written by Gillani.
Parents also exhibited their artistic skills on canvas and won trophies at the event; a special performance was given by the SNK Crew and a very entertaining magic show was also presented before the excited audience. A very captivating slide show depicting the beginning and the journey of an artist enthralled the audience. A variety of stalls for food and face painting added colour to the already spectacular event.
The programme ended on a profound note with the address of the chief guest, followed by the national anthem.
