Oman, Jordan to promote cooperation in all spheres

Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers received yesterday Dr. Mohammad Mahmoud Al Thneibat, Deputy Prime Minister for Services and Minister of Education in Jordan. He is currently in the Sultanate to participate in the 28th Arab Scout Conference, being hosted by the Sultanate.
During the meeting, the Jordanian guest conveyed the greetings of King Abdullah II of Jordan to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said along with his best wishes of success to His Majesty the Sultan, and the Omani people further progress.
Sayyid Fahd reviewed the march of cooperation between the two countries and the keenness of two sides to promote them in a number of spheres.
Sayyid Fahd pointed out to the importance of exchanging expertise to serve the joint interests. He also touched on the Scout Conference and the Sultanate’s continuous encouragement for the youth in this important field.
Conversation during the meeting dealt with the fields of bilateral cooperation, particularly the education sector, which enjoys a great interest in the two countries as it is a basic pillar for the sustainable development, as well as qualifying a generation that is capable of coping with the latest developments of the era, in addition to reviewing a number of issues and developments at the regional and international arenas.
On his turn, the Dr. Al Thneibat expressed the sincere desire to promote relations. He affirmed the appreciation of his country’s leadership, government and people to the Sultanate’s positive role under the leadership of His Majesty the Sultan in serving issues of the nation and maintaining peace and stability efforts everywhere.
