Oman UAE Exchange offers instant bank transfers

Muscat: Indian expatriates can now experience instant bank transfers from Oman to any bank in India even during holidays. The service is being offered by Oman UAE Exchange, the leading remittance and foreign exchange brand in the Sultanate, through the Immediate Payment Service (IMPS) platform.
Immediate Payment Service is an instant real-time inter-bank electronic funds transfer system of India. This service is available throughout the year including bank holidays.
Customers can send money instantly and securely to any of the Indian banks under the IMPS membership from any of the 54 branches of Oman UAE Exchange. Another advantage of this service is that the money gets directly deposited in the beneficiary’s bank account in real time. Once the amount is credited, both the customer and the beneficiary receive a SMS notification.
Commenting on the new initiative, Boban MP, chief executive officer of Oman UAE Exchange, said: “Our primary objective has been to enhance customer experience for which we explore new, faster and convenient channels of remitting. We are delighted to be the only exchange house in the country to implement and offer IMPS, an interbank electronic fund transfer service. This service will provide our customers with a quick and safe platform to transfer money to any of their Indian bank accounts in real time, 365 days in a year.”
Recently voted as Oman's Most Trusted Brand in the money exchange category by the public, Oman UAE Exchange has also initiated a similar service - money transfer through IMPS - for the expatriates of Bangladesh. The brand is also going to launch this service for the Pakistani expatriates residing in the country.
