Muscat: National bus operator Mwasalat has floated a tender for the design and construction of a bus workshop extension at its headquarters in Muscat.
The company is looking for submissions for the design, construction and maintenance of its workshop extension, which includes offices, general facilities and pavements of over 30,000 square metres.
Speaking to Times of Oman, Mwasalat CEO Ahmad bin Ali Al Bulushi stated on Sunday that some additions had been made to the tender that was floated last year. “This is Phase II of the project,” he said.
“When we launched the original tender, we didn’t know that we would have an additional 118 buses. So we launched a fresh tender for the extra offices and bus bays,” he added.
The documents for the updated tender will be available until January 26, 2017 for a non-refundable fee of OMR 150, while the final submission date is February 19, 2017, according to Mwasalat.
