Muscat Municipality begins clearing roads and drains in Oman

Muscat: Following the rainfall and overflow of a number of wadis in the various wilayats of Muscat Governorate, Muscat Municipality has intensified its efforts to drain out stagnant water and blockage of drainage systems on the main and service roads. It also started removing the trees which fell as a result of the wind accompanying the rain.
The technical and field teams of Muscat Municipality immediately swung into action and started cleaning the drainage systems and removal of waste from the residential areas.
The wilayats of Muscat Governorate have been provided with the necessary equipment and machinery for immediate response to the situation.
Muscat Municipality has also responded to the phone calls made by citizens and residents in the various wilayats of the Governorate.
The teams will continue with their duties during the coming days in response to the developments of the low pressure in order to ensure smooth traffic.
