Motorsport: Haitham and Azzan win in Muscat Festival races

Muscat: Haitham Al Hadidi and Azzan Al Fairuz won the top honours in the T3 Challange Race and 4X4 Oman Challenge Race respectively during the motorsport events organised as part of the Muscat Festival activities at the Oman Automobile Association.
In the T3 Challenge Race, Haitham Al Hadidi won the first place while former rally star Nizar Al Shanfari finished second. Naseeb Al Siyabi settled for the third place.
A total of 12 racers participated in the round one of the race of whom six have qualified to the final round and they are Haitham Al Hadidi, Nizar Al Shanfari, Jaber Al Siyabi, Nasser Al Harthi, Yousef Al Abri and Ali Al Shanfari.
Meanwhile, Azzan Al Fairuz of the Jeep Team won the first place in the second stage of the 4X4 Oman Challenge Race.
Azzan Al Saeedi of Suzuki Cars came second, while Rufat Al Balushi of Jeep Team finished third.
