Muscat: Oman's Permanent Museum Exhibition at the renovated Mombasa Castle in Kenya will open on Tuesday.
The opening will be done by the National Records and Archives Authority (NRAA) in coordination with the Sultanate's Embassy in Kenya and in coordination with the Ministry of Sport, Culture and Arts in the Republic of Kenya.
The opening ceremony will be sponsored by Dr. Hassan Wario, Minister of Sports, Culture and Arts in the Republic of Kenya in the presence of a number of ministers, ambassadors, senior officials and Omani prominent figures in Kenya.
The project is one of the archeological and architectural landmarks that may play a role in affirming the Omani presence in Kenya. It also reflects the historic relations and deepen the noble Omani values and its rich history and culture.
NRAA has promoted this project in a bid to preserve the Sultanate's history and culture in East Africa. The museum plays a role in spreading public awareness about the Omani rich history and will also be a destination for Mombasa visitors.
