One killed, two injured in Salalah's house blaze

Muscat: One person died and two others are in critical condition after a fire engulfed a house in South Uqad area on Monday, according to the Public Authority for Civil Defence.
According to sources, the fire started on the second floor of the three-storey house in the early hours of Monday in Salalah.
“Two people were rescued and rushed to the hospital at around 5:35am,” PACDA tweeted.
Meanwhile, sources confirmed that the deceased is a Philippine national. “One person is battling for life in intensive care unit in Salalah hospital,” sources added.
A few weeks ago, a trader in Muttrah souq had lost goods worth OMR200,000 in a fire accident.
