Muscat: As part of the Sultanate’s preparations to take part in Expo 2020 Dubai, scheduled to be held from October 20, 2020 to April 10, 2021 under the theme ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’, a team from the Expo’s organising committee visited the Sultanate.
The visit is part of the existing coordination with the main committee in charge of discussing the Sultanate’s preparations for Expo 2020 events. It also comes within the keenness of Expo 2020 Main Committee to raise awareness of the Omani business, tourism and industrial organisations of the direct and indirect business opportunities that will be available in Dubai during Expo 2020 Dubai’s preparation and operation. These opportunities may generate many profits and economic gains for the Omani companies.
The team members are expected to meet a number of officials at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Public Authority for SMEs Development, Al Raffd Fund, SAS Center and a number of Omani entrepreneurs. During such meetings, the team will review the available and potential business opportunities and how to apply for them.
It should be noted that Expo 2020 Dubai is expected to attract 25 million visitors during its six-month period. The exhibitors and visitors will realize the importance and value of communication.
