Italian honour for Oman's Al Mahrouqi

Muscat: Salim bin Mohammed Al Mahrouqi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture for Heritage Affairs received at the General Diwan of the ministry yesterday the Order of the Star of Italy, which is granted by the Government of Italy to Al Mahrouqi.
Al Mahrouqi got the award when he received in his office Paola Amadi, Italian ambassador to the Sultanate.
Granting the order comes in appreciation to the efforts made by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture for Heritage Affairs in promoting the bilateral relations between the two countries in areas of heritage and culture particularly in the museums and antiques sector and exchanging expertise to serve both the sides according to the best practices for the sustainability of the cultural heritage. -ONA
