Al Medina Al Munawarah: A team from the Omani Haj Mission arrived yesterday under the chairmanship of Abdulaziz bin Masaud Al Ghafri, deputy head of the mission.
The team comprised members from the religious guidance delegation, the administrative and financial delegation, the supervisory delegation, the medical delegation, delegations from the Royal Oman Police and the scouts.
Sheikh Sultan Al Hinai head of the mission stressed the significance of teamwork among the members to serve the Haj performers (pilgrims).
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs has approved 66 companies for transporting pilgrims to the sacred lands. The number of pilgrims from the Sultanate amounted to 14,000 including 13, 438 Omanis of whom 736 are the official and military missions, 300 hundred Arab and 262 non-Arab nationals.
