Muscat: Oman National Transport Company 'Mwasalat' will launch the Muscat-Shinas-Khasab route on Thursday. This will be the first route linking the land and sea in the Sultanate. The launch of the project is part of efforts to develop the logistics sector in the Sultanate.
The service will be a free of charge for limited seats for passengers of Muscat-Khasab route and Khasab- Muscat route from August 24 to August 31, to encourage everyone to use the new route as a unique experience, which combines the use of bus and ferry at the same time for the first time.
There will be special prices for residents of the Governorate of Musandam and its employees, and a 50 per cent discount for children from 3-12 years old and free tickets for children under 3 years.
Tickets will be available at Mwasalat offices in Azaiba, Al Sahwa Tower, Al Maabela and Sohar, as well as the tickets and call centre at National Ferries Company and its branches.
Pre-booking is recommended 24 hours prior to the start of the journey as seats are limited.
