Muscat: As part of its continuous endeavours to fulfil His Majesty’s vision for female empowerment, Bank Sohar marked Omani Women’s Day, reaffirming its commitment to empower women in the bank and to fast-track their career growth and professional development. Celebrating the day, the bank organised an all-women dhow sunset cruise to show appreciation to the women in its workforce.
Emphasising the bank’s support towards its female staff, Munira Abdulnabi Macki, GM – HR and Corporate Support, said: “At Bank Sohar, we always believe in creating equal opportunities for both men and women so that the bank and, ultimately, our customers benefit from the best of both worlds. Asides from that, women, everywhere, have been known to be bastions of strength, fortitude and perseverance and our female workforce is no exception. They have proved their mettle time rising in rank within the organisation through their hard work and dedication. This event, therefore, is a small token of gratitude that symbolizes our appreciation and acknowledgement of women’s continuous contributions towards the development of the Sultanate and their role in spearheading tremendous achievements at the bank since inception.”
