114 deported, 46 arrested for illegally entering Oman

Muscat: Royal Oman Police (ROP) arrested 46 people for illegally entering the country and deported 114 people last week, ROP announced.

During the past week, ROP arrested 46 people from various nationalities for entering the country illegally, including 21 in Dhofar, 14 in Buraimi, six in North Batinah and five in Muscat.

ROP also said that they had deported 114 people from Arab, Asian and African nationalities in coordination with their respective embassies, while 339 people, including 32 women, are being investigated before taking legal action to deport them to their respective countries.
