Eng. Hussain bin Hassan AbdulHussain, CEO of Haya Water, stated that Haya Water is devoted to always participate in the Dates Festival to encourage cadres working in the fields of production, processing and marketing of Omani dates, especially owners of small and medium enterprises. In fact, Haya Water pays great attention to SMEs through the programmes that are implemented by the company or direct support by giving their products the highest priority to purchase.
He added, "Haya Water has offered farmers and producers of Omani dates its product of organic compost ‘Kala’, which has gained the confidence of farmers throughout the Sultanate due to its nutritious organic composition and success in growing palm trees, fruits and other crops.”
He added, "Every year, Haya is keen to participate in this festival to educate visitors and participants about its activities through its corner in the exhibition, as well as to promote 'Kala' among farmers and date producers.”
It is worth mentioning that Haya Water, works side by side with some governmental entities to encourage other governmental and private organisations as well as individuals to begin using treated wastewater instead of fresh water as an alternative for irrigating crops, agriculture and expanding the green areas as well as using it in the fields of industry and construction.
The treated wastewater produced by Haya Water has proven that it is suitable for the irrigation of vegetables and fruits. In fact, it has been tested by Sultan Qaboos University and it has shown great results in this regard. Therefore, the company, by producing large quantities of treated wastewater, actually contributes in expanding the green areas in the Sultanate.
