Oman, Armenia hold political consultations session, discuss bilateral, regional global issues

Muscat: Political consultations session between the Sultanate and the Republic of Armenia was held at the General Diwan of the Foreign Ministry on Monday.
During the session, the third of its kind, the Omani side was chaired by Dr. Mohammed bin Awadh Al Hassan, Acting Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs, whilst the Armenian side was chaired by Armen Papikyan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
During the session, the two sides reviewed various aspects of the bilateral relations and discussed means of promoting them to serve interests of the two friendly countries, particularly in the economic, trade scientific and tourism areas.
The two sides also exchanged views on the regional and international issues of common concern in a way that contributes in coordinating and enhancing the mutual understanding and stances that support international peace and security efforts.
The session was attended by Head of the Middle East Department at the Armenian Foreign Affairs Ministry and a number of official at the Omani Foreign Ministry.
