Health Minister in Germany to enhance skills of Omani doctors

Muscat: Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Saeedi, Minister of Health and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Oman Medical Specialty Board (OMSB) and Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, Executive President of OMSB met Prof. Karl Walter, Medical Director of the Hospital of the University of Munich, Federal Republic of Germany.
The visit aims to enhance cooperation between the two sides and avail training opportunities for Omani doctors at German medical universities and benefit from their expertise in the fields of training and medical
qualification.
The delegation had met with the Executive President of OMSB. He was briefed on the nature of the work in the field of training and rehabilitation of Omani doctors and the role of OMSB in specialised medical training.
Bridges of cooperation
The delegation visited the Medical Simulation Centre and was familiarised with the services it provides, the most important courses and workshops it organises, and the experience of the standard examination center (Prometric) and the nature of the international examinations. OMSB seeks to establish bridges of cooperation with international universities and academic institutions in order to raise the quality of education and training and to provide doctors with the latest knowledge and training. — ONA
