Bahwan Travel Agencies awarded ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certification

Muscat: Bahwan Travel Agencies (BTA), one of the largest and a leading travel and tourism companies in the Sultanate of Oman under Suhail Bahwan Group, has reached another milestone in its history. BTA has recently been awarded the coveted ISO9001:2015 Quality Management System certification by Bureau Veritas – a global leader in certification services - accredited by UKAS - UK’s National Accreditation Body.
BTA is the first travel and tourism company in Oman to receive ISO 9001:2015 certification from Bureau Veritas.
Amal Suhail Bahwan, vice chairperson, Suhail Bahwan Group accepted the certification from John Rosario, Certification Manager, Bureau Veritas, Oman, in the presence of Twinkle Chakola, Account manager, Bureau Veritas, Oman, Dr Simon Joseph, managing director, Infobiz, consultant to the certification process, Gururaj, general manager, BTA and his team, In a ceremony held recently at Suhail Bahwan Group’s headquarters in Muscat.
Amal said, “The ISO certification is the most widely accepted and trusted quality management system globally for any business. The certification assures that our customers will continue to receive the very best in quality and service from BTA. We, at Suhail Bahwan Group, ensure all our hardware, software, operational and management systems conform to international quality standards. I congratulate the entire BTA team for achieving this accomplishment.”
The ISO certification was awarded after inspecting and testing BTA’s robust travel management system and operations - from customer enquiry to product and service delivery on various parameters and specifications. A BTA team led by Soumava Mukherjee, deputy general manager, has been coached and mentored using orientation, documentation and implementation approach to maintain the ISO certified standards.
The certification agencies applauded the efforts of BTA management by setting examples of strategic leadership, empowerment, the involvement of people and meticulous execution.
