Sohar Islamic opens branch in Barka

Muscat: Sohar Islamic – Bank Sohar’s Islamic Banking window recently celebrated the official opening of its latest branch located in Wilayat of Barka marking its sixth branch.
The fully functional Barka branch will offer customers a range of Sharia-compliant products and services as well as easy access to the branch. The opening ceremony was held under the patronage of Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Braiki, Wali of Wilayat Barka and attendance from Sohar Islamic’s executive management and customers from the region.
Welcoming guests at the event, representatives from the bank included Salim Al Maskari, DGM and Head of Sohar Islamic, Mazin Al Raisi, Sr AGM Marketing and Customer Experience and Fahad Akbar Al Zadjali, Head of Retail and Branches at Sohar Islamic. Following a tour around the new branch, Abdullah bin Mohamed Al Adawi, Branch Operations Manager gave a speech highlighting Sohar Islamic’s network, performance and philosophy of offering outstanding Sharia-compliant services and products to its valued customers across Oman. Concluding the event, a token of appreciation was presented to Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Braiki, Wali of Barka for joining the bank’s celebrations.

Sohar Islamic’s new branch is manned by qualified staff offering customers with the entire range of Sharia-compliant Islamic Banking products and services from Sunday to Thursday from 8am till 2pm. In line with Sohar Islamic’s other branches, the Barka branch will also offer customers full-fledged ATM and CDM facilities.
