PEIE organises statistics workshop

Muscat: The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE), in cooperation with Muscat Statistical Consulting, recently organised a workshop on statistical capabilities and how to develop them.
The programme, which targeted 25 employees from various estates under the PEIE, focused on three areas: i) the importance of statistical data and its role in preparation, implementation and follow-up of plans; ii) collection and presentation of data analysis and writing statistical reports; and iii) solutions to obstacles facing the employees in entering, updating and following up the data of companies operating in the industrial estates.
By the end of the programme, the participants were able to deal with database analysis, design of data collection forms, preparation of reports and studies, design tables and graphs, and interpret the results of data analysis by creating a linkage to the practical reality.
