Muscat: Oman's Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries Fuad Sajwani has issued a decision to lift the ban on import of live birds, their products and derivatives from two states in India.
These states are Haryana and Punjab in north India. "This decision is based on the recommendation of the competent veterinary authority," the ministry said.
Oman had earlier banned the import of poultry and poultry products from some Indian states, following reports of an outbreak of avian flu.
