​Two expats arrested for robbing bank customers in Oman

Muscat: Two persons of "Arab nationality" have been arrested for stealing money from cars of bank customers, Royal Oman Police said in a statement on Wednesday.

According to police, the duo would "monitor bank customers of who withdrew large amounts of money from the bank and follow their vehicles. When they stopped, the robbers would break the glass of the vehicle and take the money."

After the search and investigation, the two were arrested while carrying out a robbery, police added.

The Royal Oman Police called on citizens and residents to be cautious when visiting financial institutions and not to leave cash in their vehicles.
