Muscat: Ali Javed, Ambassador of Pakistan, has announced a sketching contest across Oman.
It saw participation from among 7,000 Pakistani students enrolled in seven branches of the Pakistan School System (PSS), Beacon House and City School Muscat campuses to mark the 120th birth anniversary of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, “The Great Leader” and the “Father of the Nation”, who led the political, legal and democratic movement to create the State of Pakistan.
The winners will be awarded “Certificates of Appreciation” by the ambassador on Jinnah’s birthday—December 25. The sketches may be sent on WhatsApp to +968-7119 3072, along with personal details by December 25.
PSS Musannah student Ahmed Hameed (grade 11) & Saher Hameed (grade 12), alongside PSS Nizwa student Abuhurara Aslam (grade IV) were adjudged as the top three winners, respectively, in the recently held contest to draw the Poet & Philosopher, Allama Iqbal, and will be awarded “Certificates of Appreciation”, together with the winners of the “Draw Jinnah” competition.
The sketching competitions to commemorate the founding fathers of Pakistan are very popular among young students.
