Maqshan: His Highness Sayyid Asa’ad bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs, Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan will patronise today the concluding ceremony of Maqshan 4th Heritage Festival, which started on 18th December.
The camel competition saw wide participation of the camel owners from different wilayats of the Sultanate.
Maqshan 4th Heritage Festival included a number of cultural, heritage and sports events including camel beauty competition, local known as “Mazayna”, and camel milking competition, locally known as “Mahalba”. It also included a shooting competition in addition to a number of cultural lectures, poetry and art nights.
The Festival aimed at maintaining the Omani true heritage, highlighting the cultural potentials and activating the cultural movement in Maqshan, in addition to providing the opportunity for camel breeders and citizens to market their camels.
