Dubai: The Middle East Regional Office of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) announced the election of Khalid bin Waleed Al Zadjali, Director of Oman Office for Conferences at the Ministry of Tourism as ICCA Deputy Chairman.
Seventy-three members of the regional office elected Al Zadjali from among three candidates for the position. The Amsterdam-based ICCA is the biggest international specialised association. It represents the international associations that organise conferences, forums and meetings, has more than 1,100 members and specialised firms from about 100 countries. Khalid bin Waleed Al Zadjali is currently the Director of Oman Office for Conferences at the Ministry of Tourism since the establishment of the office in March 2016. It supervises efforts to promote Oman as a hub for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events (MICE) tourism.
The Office also submits the official dossiers to the international associations and organizations to host conferences, meetings and events in cooperation with the relevant authorities and organizations in the Sultanate.
