Oman crime: Health clubs asked to abide by labour laws, six arrested

Muscat: Health clubs in Oman have been asked to follow the labour laws after the arrest of several Asian workers at a health club in Al Khuwair.
The warning was issued on Wednesday after six Asian workers were arrested during a raid on a massage centre in Al Khuwair, for violating the labour law, according to the Ministry of Manpower (MoM).
Speaking to the Times of Oman, an official from MoM, said out of the six arrested, some were illegal workers. “A special team comprising the Royal Oman Police (ROP), the Ministry of Manpower and the Muscat Municipality will take action to stop illegal activities,” the official said.
