Muscat: Oman Human Rights Commission (OHRC) visited a home of elderly in the Wilayat of Al Rustaq to ensure they received adequate care and comfort.
Accompanied by OHRC Chief Rashid Al Husni, a number of employees visited the elderly home in Al Rustaq, which houses 45 elderly people.
The delegation reviewed the services provided to the inmates, inspected the facilities at the house, met with them and had breakfast with them.
The residents of the house are taken care of by the government, represented by the Ministry of Social Development, where they are provided housing, medical care, staff, and nurses.
The official said: “The delegation of the Omani Human Rights Commission talked with the elderly, had breakfast, and providing Eid gifts that had a great impact in the hearts of the elderly and brought them happiness.”
