Mwasalat resumes services to Duqm

Muscat: Mwasalat on Wednesday announced that it would restart services on the Muscat-Duqm line according to the normally operated schedules.

In a statement online Mwasalat said: "Our valued customers, all trips from Muscat to Al Wusta and South Al Sharqiya are operating as normal."

On Tuesday, the company had said that it was planning to suspend trips to the governorates of Wusta and South Sharqiyah, if tropical storm Hikaa got too severe.

The possibility of trip suspension on the routes of Muscat – Jalan, Muscat – Sur, Muscat – Shannah, Muscat – Duqm and Muscat – Duqm – Haima due to Hikaa had been discussed. However, services now are operating normally.
