Campaign to return turtles launched in Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs (MECA) launched a national campaign to return stray turtles to their habitat.

The National Campaign for the Return of Young Turtles was launched at the Ras Al Hadd Turtle Reserve and will continue till 21st December 2019.

The campaign will include a number of awareness and recreational activities to raise awareness on the importance of turtle conservation.

MECA said in a statement online: "Be part of the event and contribute to the preservation of one of the most important marine resources in the Sultanate."
