Sayyid Asa’ad receives Japanese ambassador

Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Asa’ad bin Tariq Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs, Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan received in his office yesterday Toshinori Kobayashi, Ambassador of Japan to the Sultanate.
The meeting reviewed the good bilateral relations between the Sultanate and Japan, as well as aspects of the existing cooperation between them in various areas to serve the joint interests between the two friendly countries.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General and the two Advisers at the Office of Sayyid Asa’ad.
Malta
Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received a copy of credentials of Paul Mifsud, Ambassador of the Republic of Malta appointed to the Sultanate.
Sayyid Badr welcomed the ambassador, wishing him success in his new tour of duty and the bilateral relations between the Sultanate and Malta further progress to serve the joint interests.
The two sides reviewed the bilateral relations and means of enhancing cooperation in various fields and discussed a number of issues of common concern.
The meeting was attended by a number of officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
