Non-Aligned Movement meeting concludes in Baku

Baku: The 18th Summit of Heads of States and Governments of Non-Aligned Movement concluded, on Saturday, with the participation of the Sultanate. Assigned by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, Dr Yahya bin Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, Chairman of the State Council chaired the Sultanate’s delegation to the Summit.
The Summit concluded with the Declaration of Baku which stressed the significance of review of the progress made in implementation of the recommendations and results of the 17th Summit of Heads of States and Governments of Non-Aligned Movement held in Venezuela.
The summit also reaffirmed the commitment with the UN Conventions and sustainable development plan for 2030 along with enhancement of dialogue, tolerance and the role of the Non-Aligned Movement in combating all forms of terrorism.
The declaration called for collective efforts pertaining to the Israeli occupation for the Palestinian lands which have been occupied since 1967 and meeting the historic, political and legal responsibilities for the Palestinian cause and the support of the rights of Palestinian people.
