Cyclone Kyarr to cause rainfall in Oman

Muscat: Several areas of the Sultanate would see sporadic rains, as an indirect effect of cyclone Kyarr in the evening. Rains, with thunderstorms and active winds in South Al Sharqiyah and Al Wusta governorates have been forecast.

Oman Meteorology said in its latest update, "The expected indirect effects of the tropical cyclone Kyarr today evening and tomorrow, include active north-eastern winds over most of the Sultanate's governorates, which may reach upto 30 knots at the South Al Sharqiyah and Al Wusta governorates."

"Isolated rains, sometimes associated with a thunderstorm over the governorates of South Al Sharqiyah and Al Wusta and parts of the coast of the Sea of Oman."
