Action plan for joint humanitarian work discussed

Muscat: The 15th preparatory meeting of the GCC Red Crescent chiefs discussed on Wednesday at the GCC Advisory Council headquarters in Muscat their action plan in the fields of joint humanitarian and relief work.
Ali bin Ibrahim Al Raisi, CEO of the Oman Charitable Organisation said that the meeting discussed 10 transferred items from the committees related to coordination, cooperation, and international nomination, preparation of cadres, field work, relief and ambulance. Al Raisi added that the meeting prepared the final version of the chiefs’ meeting on Thursday for adoption and later to be submitted to the ministers and then to the GCC leaders.
Plenipotentiary Minister Mohsen bin Mubarak Al Dosari, Director of Health Department at the GCC Secretariat General said that the meeting of the Red Crescent chiefs discussed the decisions including the 5-year action plan of the GCC Red Crescent Chiefs and the activities of the Gulf Red Crescent Day under the theme / One Giving / and many events and activities to promote humanitarian relief work to deliver a message to the Gulf, Arab and Islamic society.
