Muscat: Al Turki emerged the champions of Oman Cricket-organised and Khimji Ramdas-sponsored Premier Division Knockout Tournament after a thrilling final against Muscat CT.
The match, played at the Ministry of Sports Affairs turf ground on Saturday, ended in a tie but Al Turki took the title thanks to the record of losing less wickets than their rivals.
Batting first, Muscat CT were bowled out for 208 in 48.4 overs. Jatinder Singh and Vaibhav Wategaonkar scoring with 70 and 66 runs respectively.
Jay Vikram was the pick of the Al Turki bowlers with two scalps.
In reply, Al Turki scored 208 but lost only seven wickets in 50 overs to claim the championship title.
Ghulam Shaik top scored with 52. He was ably assisted by Twinkle Bhadari with 43 runs and Jay Vikram with an unbeaten 43.
Rajesh Ranpura claimed two wickets for Muscat CT.
