Sayyid Badr attends defence expo, meets Indian PM, Defence Minister

New Delhi: Sayyid Badr bin Saud bin Harib Al Busaidi, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs, yesterday took part in the 10th round of DEFEXPO 2020 held in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India, in response to an invitation by Rajnath Singh, Indian Defence Minister.
Sayyid Badr went on tour of the pavilions of the expo, which was opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Sayyid Badr took note of the latest military technologies, systems and equipment produced by the international defence industry firms. During the event, Sayyid Badr met Premier Modi and conveyed to him His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik’s wishes of good health and happiness, along with His Majesty’s wishes of further progress and prosperity to the friendly people of India.
In his turn, Modi asked Sayyid Badr to convey his greetings of good health and happiness to Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, as well as his wishes of progress and prosperity to the Omani people.
Modi also expressed his heartfelt condolences to Sayyid Badr and the Omani people on the death of the late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said Bin Taimour, praying to God to rest his soul in peace in Heavens. Upon his arrival here earlier in the day, Sayyid Badr was received by the Omani Ambassador to India, Sheikh Hamad bin Saif al-Rawahi, Military Attaché Brig. Badr bin Said al-Farsi, and senior officials of the Indian Defence Ministry.
Sayyid Badr also met Indian Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh. Singh expressed his condolences and sincere sympathy to Sayyid Badr and the Omani people on the demise of late His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taimour, praying to the Almighty Allah to rest his soul in peace. He also wished His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik all success in further development and progress in the Sultanate. Sayyid Badr expressed his thanks to Indian Defence Minister for his noble feelings, wishing India further progress and development. The meeting reviewed the relations between the two countries and discussed a number of issues of common concern as well as the fields of military cooperation between the two countries
It was attended by Sheikh Hamad bin Saif Al Rawahi, the Oman’s ambassador to India, Brigadier Bader bin Said Al Farsi, Oman’s military attache, a number of senior officers and the delegation accompanying sayyid Badr.

Korean Defence Minister
Sayyid Al Busaidi, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs also met at the venue of the DEFEXPO 2020 in Lucknow City, yesterday with Korean Defence Minister, Kim Jong Gwan.
The meeting reviewed the bilateral relations and a number of issues of common concern and existing military cooperation between the two ministries of defence and ways of their further enhancement for the interest of the peoples of the two countries.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Hamad bin Saif Al Rawahi, the Sultanate’s ambassador to India, Brigadier Bader bin Said Al Farsi, the Sultanate’s military attache, a number of senior officers and the delegation accompanying Sayyid Badr.
