Muscat: The Public Establishment for Industrial Estates – Madayn, represented by Madayn Industrial Academy, organised a training programme on human resource management trends at the Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM), and another programme on ‘Sustainable Industrial Wastewater Management’ at Nizwa Industrial City.
The first programme, which focused on the latest trends in human resources management, aimed at equipping the participants with knowledge and skills in the field of human resources and develop their capabilities in planning, motivation and evaluation areas. The participants were briefed on the basic concepts in human resources management and its associated organisational aspects. The programme also highlighted the employment aspects and employee performance appraisal process.
The second training programme on ‘Sustainable Industrial Wastewater Management’ was organised in cooperation with Madayn Research Chair at SQU. The programme discussed the notion of industrial wastewater treatment and the importance of maintaining sustainable wastewater management. This training programme focused on three themes, which comprise necessity of treating and managing the industrial wastewater, choice and application of the best available technologies to treat wastewater, and promotion of decentralised industrial wastewater management and turning it into a valuable resource for energy and resource recovery.
