MUSCAT: Pakistani nationals residing across Oman are advised to use online services in the wake of the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic to avoid any potential spread of the disease.
The community members have been notified by the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Oman. The Embassy has issued a statement that “Due to the ongoing global emergency – COVID-19 – and public health and safety concern, the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Muscat calls upon all the community members to exercise extreme care and caution. Everyone is encouraged to follow the guidelines issued by various government authorities of the Sultanate of Oman.”
The officials further advised the community members to utilise the online services for visas, machine readable passports, etc., during the period. “The general public is further encouraged to seek an appointment, in case of emergency, during the office hours from 8:30am to 4:00pm, or send an email,” the statement added.
