Muscat: The General Federation of Oman Workers has recorded 39 reports of violations of workers' rights within a span of 5 days.
According to the federation, the reports included deduction of wages, forcing workers to go on unpaid leave, and deduction of leaves for quarantine periods from annual leave.
A statement issued online by the federation said: "General Federation confirms the continuous monitoring of a number of reports and violations of the decisions of the Supreme Committee to deal with the coronavirus."
According to the data shared by the federation, in the period from April 26-30 2020, 39 reports of various violations were monitored.
