Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MOH) represented by the Directorate General of Specialized Medical Care (DGSMC), on Wednesday, signed an agreement with Al-Jisr Foundation to finance the purchase of respiratory devices at a cost of OMR 100,000 for the low-income and social insurance patients.
The agreement was signed by H.E. Dr. Ali bin Taleb Al-Hinai, MOH Undersecretary for Planning Affairs on behalf of the Ministry and Mira bint Khalid Al-Busaidi, a board member on behalf of the Foundation.
In this regard, Al-Hinai stressed the importance of the partnership between government and private sectors for the public interest, praising the good company’s initiative.
On the other hand, Khadim bin Jafar Suliman, DGSMC Director-General pointed out that Respiratory Care Department made a lot of achievements including providing a number of home-based care devices for the chronic respiratory patients, as well as following-up these patients in the hospitals and homes by the respiratory technicians to ensure the validity and safety of the devices.
Dina Al Khalili, Head of Al Jisr Foundation stressed that the foundation ensures to support the Ministry in providing the needs of low-income and social insurance patients.
