Muscat: Patients in Oman who have recovered from COVID-19 have been asked to donate blood plasma to help those who are still suffering from the disease.
In a statement, the Department of Blood Banks Services of the Ministry of health said, “DBBS Oman invites those who have recovered from COVID-19 infection to volunteer to donate plasma to help COVID-19 patients.”
For inquiries on plasma donation, or to book an appointment, those interested can send a WhatsApp message to 9455-5648, or call 2459-1255, or 2459-4255.
The Royal Hospital also put out a request asking people to donate blood to help those battling the coronavirus.
“If you meet the criteria of donating, don’t hesitate to book an appointment,” said the hospital. “One unit could save THREE patients.”
