Oman crime: ​547 Khat packets seized in Salalah

Muscat: Over 500 packets of Khat were seized by Royal Oman Police (ROP), the authority tweeted on its official twitter handle.
“547 packets of Khat were seized in Salalah,” the tweet read.
Last week, a bid to smuggle Khat into Oman in a truck was foiled. Around 2,000 packets of Khat were hidden inside the truck, which was transporting fish.
