Three arrested on charges of drug smuggling

Muscat: Three people have been arrested on charges of smuggling more than a quarter of a tonne of crystal, 16 kg of morphine and 3 kg of hashish. 

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) said, “After two accurate tracking and monitoring operations, the General Administration for Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances, in cooperation with the Police Command of North Al Batinah Governorate, arrested three people on charges of smuggling more than a quarter of a tonne of crystal drug, 16 kg of morphine and 3 kg of hashish, with the intention of trafficking in it and the case is under process.”
