One sentenced for misdemeanor

Muscat: One person was sentenced to imprisonment for one month and his license was withdrawn for a year for displaying in his vehicle in South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, Public Prosecution said. 

A statement issued online by Public Prosecution said, "The Court of First Instance (Criminal Department) in the Governorate of South Al Sharqiyah has convicted the accused Maddah bin Hamad bin Mohammad of misdemeanor for displaying by his vehicle according to the Article 49/5 of the Traffic Law and its amendments. It ruled that he be imprisoned for a month and his driver’s license be withdrawn for a year after the punishment was executed, his vehicle confiscated, and the ruling published."
